How Do Clients Join Your Waitlist?
How Do Clients Join Your Waitlist?
You can add clients manually, or let them add themselves. Self-join is faster for everyone — no back-and-forth, no manual data entry, and clients are on the list the moment they submit the form.
There are three ways to share your waitlist.
Option 1 — Shareable join link
Every schedule has a public join link. Share it anywhere: in a text message, your Instagram bio, a reply to a booking inquiry, wherever.
When a client opens the link, they see a simple form — name, phone, and email. They submit it and they're on the waitlist. That's it.
To get your join link: Go to Tools in your dashboard. Your join link is listed there for each appointment type.
As soon as they submit, the client receives a confirmation text and email letting them know they're on the list and what position they're in.
Option 2 — Embedded form on your website
If you have a website, you can embed the join form directly on any page. It looks like a native part of your site and keeps clients from having to navigate away.
To get your embed code: Go to Tools in your dashboard. Copy the `
The form is a single small block — name, phone, email, and a submit button. After submitting, the page shows a confirmation message in place of the form.
Option 3 — Combined booking + waitlist page
This page lets clients either book an available appointment or join the waitlist if nothing works for them — all in one place.
It shows your Calendly scheduling widget alongside a "Join the waitlist instead" toggle. Clients who can't find a time they like can flip to the waitlist form without leaving the page.
This is the most complete option if you want to give new clients a single link that handles both situations.
To get your booking + waitlist page link: Go to Tools in your dashboard.
What the client receives after joining
As soon as a client submits the waitlist form, FullSlot sends them:
- A confirmation SMS (if they provided a phone number) — confirms they're on the list and their position number.
- A confirmation email (if they provided an email address) — same information in a slightly longer format.
They don't need to do anything else. When a slot opens, they'll get a notification automatically.
What happens with duplicates?
If someone tries to join with a phone number or email that's already on your waitlist for that appointment type, FullSlot doesn't create a duplicate. Their existing record is kept as-is.
Can I still add clients manually?
Yes. Go to Waitlist → Add Client at any time to add someone by name, phone, and email. This is useful when a client calls or books in person and you want to get them on the list on their behalf.
What if a client wants to be removed?
They can click the unsubscribe link in any notification email, or you can remove them manually from the Waitlist tab.
