Quick Start Checklist: 5 Things Before Your First Cancellation
Quick Start Checklist: 5 Things Before Your First Cancellation
Complete these five steps and FullSlot will be ready to automatically fill your next cancellation.
- [ ] Connect your scheduler — Go to Integrations and connect Calendly, Square, Acuity, Vagaro, or the Webhook Bridge. FullSlot needs this to detect cancellations in real time.
- [ ] Map your appointment types (Calendly only) — Match each Calendly event type to a FullSlot appointment type. This tells FullSlot which waitlist to notify for each kind of cancellation.
- [ ] Import your waitlist — Add clients via CSV or manually. Without clients on the waitlist, no notifications can be sent.
- [ ] Review your notification message — Check what clients will see when they get a text or email. The default message is ready to use, but you can customize it.
- [ ] Run a test — Cancel a real (or test) appointment in your scheduler and watch the flow. You should see a new entry in your Cancellations page and a notification go out to whoever is on that waitlist.
That's it. You're live.
The next cancellation that comes in through your scheduler will automatically trigger notifications to your waitlisted clients. First to respond gets the slot.
