Setting Up Classification Rules

Setting Up Classification Rules

Classification rules let you teach FullSlot exactly how to handle appointment titles that follow a consistent pattern in your calendar. Once a rule is set, FullSlot matches those events automatically — no review required.

When you need them

FullSlot automatically reads calendar event titles and finds the closest matching appointment type. It handles most cases on its own. But if you use shorthand titles ("bx", "hf", "laser-30") or your events include extra info that confuses the auto-match, classification rules lock in the correct result.

How rules work

Each rule defines a set of conditions. When all conditions match, the event is routed to the appointment type you specify with high confidence.

Available conditions:

| Condition | What it checks | |---|---| | Title contains | The event title includes a specific word or phrase | | Duration | The appointment is a specific length (in minutes) | | Provider contains | The event title includes a specific provider name |

Rules can combine multiple conditions (all must match). Rules are checked in order — the first match wins.

Creating a rule

1. Go to Settings → Classification Rules 2. Click Add rule 3. Select the appointment type this rule should route to 4. Add one or more conditions 5. Save

Example: Any event titled "bx" that is 60 minutes long → Botox waitlist.

Rule priority

Rules are checked top to bottom. If multiple rules could match a given event, the first one wins. You can drag rules to reorder them.

Testing a rule

After saving a rule, any new cancellation that matches it will be routed automatically. To see past events that would have matched, check your Cancellations queue — slots previously held for review may now match your new rule if they have the same pattern.
