VIP Clients: Priority Notifications

VIP clients are notified before everyone else when a slot opens up. It's a way to prioritize your most loyal clients — or clients who have been waiting the longest — without manually managing the order.


How VIP notifications work

When a cancellation is detected:

1. VIP clients are notified first. They get the notification immediately. 2. After the VIP window closes, all remaining waitlisted clients are notified.

If a VIP client books the slot, it's filled and no further notifications go out. If no VIP client books within the VIP window, the slot opens to everyone else.

The VIP window is configurable in Settings → Appointment Types.


Marking a client as VIP

1. Go to Clients.

2. Find the client and open their detail page.

3. Toggle the VIP switch.

That's it. The change takes effect immediately for any future notifications.


When to use VIP

  • Long-term loyal clients who you want to reward with first access
  • Clients who have missed slots repeatedly — giving them a head start helps them actually get in
  • High-value services where you want to ensure your best clients always have the opportunity to book

A note on fairness

VIP is opt-in and entirely under your control. Regular waitlist clients don't see who is or isn't VIP — they simply receive the notification slightly later if a VIP client doesn't respond first.
