What Does the Notification Message Say?
What Does the Notification Message Say?
Clients receive a short, direct message with the service name, the date and time, and a link to book the slot.
Default SMS message
Hi [Name] — a [Service] slot just opened at [Business]. [Day] [Date] at [Time]. Book it: [link]
Example:
Hi Sarah — a Laser Hair Removal slot just opened at Glow Aesthetics. Fri Apr 18 at 2:00 PM. Book it: https://fullslot.io/book/abc123/
The message is kept short intentionally — under 160 characters where possible — so it arrives as a single text and is easy to read at a glance.
Default email message
Subject: Slot available — [Service] at [Business]
Body: ``` Hi [Name],
A [Service] appointment just opened up at [Business].
Date: [Day, Date] Time: [Time]
Click below to book it before someone else does: [Booking link]
This slot is available for [Response Window] minutes. After that, it goes back to the available pool.
— [Business] ```
What happens after they click the link?
The client is taken to a simple confirmation page. They click one button to confirm. If they're the first to confirm, the slot is theirs. If someone else already booked it, they see a "slot just filled" message and stay on the waitlist.
Can I change these messages?
Yes. Go to Settings → Message Templates to customize both the SMS and email message. You can change the wording, add your own tone, and keep all the same variables. The default templates are always available as a fallback if you want to reset.
