What Should I Tell My Clients About FullSlot?

What Should I Tell My Clients About FullSlot?

You don't have to tell them anything — FullSlot works in the background. But if clients ask, or if you want to promote the waitlist, here's exactly what to say.

If a client asks "How did you know I wanted this appointment?"

"You're on our priority waitlist for [service]. When a cancellation opens up, we text everyone who's waiting — first to respond gets it."

That's all they need to know. Most clients find it impressive, not intrusive.

If a client asks "How did you get my number?"

"We have it on file from your previous appointments. You can opt out anytime — just reply STOP to any text from us."

You're not doing anything unexpected. Clients gave you their number for appointment communications. Using it for waitlist notifications is within that scope.

If you want to actively promote the waitlist

The more clients on your waitlist, the faster cancellations fill. A few places to add a short note:

On your website or booking page:

"Want to get in sooner? Join our cancellation waitlist. When a slot opens up, you'll be the first to know."

At checkout or in your email footer:

"Ask about our cancellation waitlist — we'll text you the moment a spot opens up for your favorite service."

When a client can't get the appointment time they want:

"We're fully booked at that time, but I can put you on our cancellation list. If anything opens up, you'll get a text immediately."

What if I don't want clients to know it's a waitlist system?

That's fine. The default notification message doesn't mention "waitlist" or "cancellation" — it just says a slot is available. From the client's perspective, they got a text that a spot opened up. That's it.

If you want to be more explicit, you can customize the message to mention the waitlist — but you don't have to.

Do clients need to do anything to join the waitlist?

No. You add them. They don't sign up for anything, create an account, or install an app. They just receive a text or email when a slot opens. The only action they take is clicking the link if they want the slot.
